And by ‘madness’ I am referring to all the kooky things our girls have been up to this past month. Everything from comprehensive exams to working at a maple syrup festival.
The month was kicked off by having several of our members being a part of the Tennessee Williams Center’s production of William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew: hair and makeup, stage crew, and performers for the production. The show was a huge success!
Our pledges are now initiated into the sorority. We are so excited to be able to officially call them our sisters. They are a great group of girls who are super excited to become a more active part of the sorority as elections for next year will begin next month. One of our active sisters even got married this month to her long time boyfriend. It was a lovely intimate ceremony (ATZ colors and everything).
Spring break was much needed after the crazy beginning of the semester. A couple of our sisters met up for a day in Disney World. Another worked at a maple syrup festival. One of our sisters went to Columbus, Indiana and took some great photos of the buildings. A sister even got to go to a prom! Most of our seniors were preparing for their comps--but one did get to stop by a toy museum in Rochester, NY, while another got further in their video games--we love procrastination.
Five of our seniors comped this month: theatre majors, psych majors and classics majors. They celebrated by eating great food, enjoying fine (cheap) wine, and going to see the new movie Us. There will be several senior projects occurring in the next month in association with the Tennessee Williams Center.
We are all very excited to kick April off right with Spring Party weekend! We hope to see some of you alumni there! --- The Ladies of ATZ
